A lifetime of passion and a global influence describe acclaimed chef Jason Harper's career. Growing up around the restaurant business, Jason developed a love for great food and dedication. His family's Cajun roots helped fuel his passion for unique flavors.
Jason's resume includes James Beard Award winning restaurant Biga on the Banks, in San Antonio, Texas. Iron Chef winner, Kent Rathbun's Dallas restaurant, Abacus.
For the past ten years Chef Jason and wife Miriam owned and operated one of the highest-rated restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Trio New American Cuisine. During that time, Jason was nominated Tastemakers Chef of the Year, was two time finalist in the Fort Worth Top Chef Challenge, as well as featured in national publications such as Food Network and The Daily Meal.
Jason now lives in Weatherford, Texas with his family as a culinary and restaurant consultant. Additionally, he provides various private and catered events and personal chef services. And just for fun, Jason has begun unique game processing and Craft BBQ under the name Doc's BBQ.

is one of the many passions that I have! Doc’s BBQ was born out of a desire to take great Texas style smoked meats and incorporate 20 years of upscale culinary experience to everything I serve.
One Saturday a month, we take our big smoker out to Gibsons in Weatherford. The week leading up to to this busy weekend I fire up the pit and send out a message blast allowing my clients to pre order everything from whole briskets to stuffed bacon wrapped quail.(menu changes monthly). I will also provide pickup or delivery and free delivery to all Parker county residents.
